Sesswick Community Council would like to share with you a traffic survey we have taken from the Speed Camera located on the B5130 Holt Road, near School house, a short distance from the Maelor Works site. We have had numerous complaints from residents about the increase in industrial traffic along this road since the Maelor Works development, in particular the increase in HGVs and long wide HGV’s, which have created a safety risk to pedestrians and other road users, house tremors when HGV’s pass and sleep disturbance between midnight to 6am. The data confirms the increase, which from observations is seen to be related predominantly to the industrial traffic from the Maelor Works site. Read More...

A small team of residents took on board overseeing the use of Play Equipment purchased by the Community Council for the use of residents within Sesswick community. The equipment includes large size garden games suitable for use at Birthday parties and or community events to entertain children of all ages. Of late the team of volunteers has diminished and we are now in a position where we need new recruits to take over.
